Halloween Card Contest

Happy October! It's widely known that October is MTG Cardsmith's favorite month. Fall weather is setting in, a new fancy set was just dropped. Finally, the month is capped with our very own, Community Coordinator Eva's birthday and our favorite holiday, Halloween.

So this year we're celebrating October in a big way, we're having the biggest card contest we've ever attempted, and the Cardsmith community is going to help our judges vote. Also for the first time, the Grand Prize in this contest is a Khans of Tarkir Fat Pack!

For the full details, check out the new Contest page for entries, rules, and eligibility. You may submit your entry using the comment section below.

Khans of Tarkir on MTG Cardsmith

A few quick updates in the final hours of September. We've added two new set icons to the collection: A beautifully well done set of Khans of Tarkir icons, originally done by The Proxy Guy. Also, a new Halloween jack-o-lantern for the upcoming month.

Just a few hours left to enter into September's giveaway, if you already haven't.

October brings us a set of haunting surprises, to be revealed shortly. Keep up the awesome card creation and we appreciate your continued support!

Lazy September Giveaway

We are crazy busy this month (and suspect you are too) so let's make this easy:
You have until the end of the September to subscribe to the member newsletter (the checkbox at the bottom). At the end of the month, we will randomly draw an email from the list and send that person Three (3) M15 Booster Packs & One set of Playstyle Pinback Buttons. That's all there is to it, so don't wait.

As of giveaway launch, the odds are 60:1 in your favor!

LEGAL JAZZ: Eligibility - MTG Cardsmith's Lazy September Giveaway is open to individuals who are residents of the fifty (50) United States or Canada and are 13 years of age or older. Drawing: At the conclusion of the Giveaway, MTG Cardsmith will select the email of potential winner in a random drawing of all subscribed accounts. Limit 1 entry per person. No purchase necessary (of course).

Advanced Card Search

The engineering goblins (gawbleens?) behind the site have finally improved our custom card search. Simply click "Advanced Search" beneath the search bar, and be treated to a host of new search options. Using the filters you can tailor your card search for "Rare Green Instants/Sorceries" (183 results) or the ever original, "Blue Planeswalkers named Jace" (232 results). Also, searches can now take advantage of the category tagging for cards (Realistic, Proxy, etc) - you have been tagging your MTG cards correctly, right?

August was busy, but we are still improving the site for the community with features like these. Thanks to everyone for their support.

Managing Your Custom MTG Cards

It's not hard, we promise!

Occassionally, we get requests to remove cards already associated with accounts. If you're a new member, this post will show you how easy it is to remove cards and favorites from your library. Let's get started.

After you initially log in you are taken to your profile homepage. To get to your library, click the Edit link next to your username in the header.

In your account, you should see the complete list of all the cards associated with your account. As you hover over each card, you can see how many others have favorited each card, as well as a Delete button to remove a single card. Clicking on the Delete button will prompt you to confirm removal, and after that the card will be gone forever!
If you click over to the Edit Favorites area, you can manage cards you have favorited in the same way.

Lastly, we also recommend checking out Edit Profile, where you can fill out more info for your public profile as well as select an avatar based on your preferred playstyle.

Happy Card Creating!
