M15 Frame Magic Card Generator



Today, we are thrilled to release the latest and greatest version of our online Magic card maker. It's taken a few months of work, but it'll be worth it to see all the awesome cards created with the new features.


New Features & Improvements

  • M15 Card Frames and Backgrounds
  • Phyrexian Mana
  • Hybrid Mana in abilities
  • Mana symbols within italics text
  • Improved text wrapping and newline recognition
  • Improved Mana symbols
  • Improved image cropping
  • Set symbol preview

The largest change is the single textbox we have for all card effects and abilities. With this version, we've allowed for more flexibility, including loosening restrictions on text limits and combined abilities. The drawback is that it's also easier to create messy, incorrect, or broken cards.

Here are some hot tips for making sexy custom cards with the new editor:

  • Use reasonable mana costs, and consistent capitalization.
  • Give Artists credit for their artwork; it increases the realism of your card.
  • Use Mana symbols in correct order. (Ex: {2}{r}{g}) They will not sort themselves automatically, so avoid looking silly.
  • If you notice that the text is getting too close to the edge, or is spilling over into the border, hit Enter to start a new line.

Thanks everyone for requesting M15 frames as a top priority feature, and being patient while we worked away at it for months!

5 Days of Magic Giveaway



Welcome to the season of giving! We've had a great year building new features and watching the community grow, and we want to celebrate with a giveaway. For five days in December, we'll be drawing winners for special prizes.

Any Cardsmith account subscribed to our newsletter is automatically entered. If you're not signed up already, subscribe to the member newsletter (the checkbox at the bottom) in your Cardsmith account. That's all there is to it, so don't wait!



Daily drawings will take place between Dec. 10-14. The lucky winners will be posted here and on our Facebook page each day. Winners will also be notified via email and have three days to confirm their shipping address (US & Canada residents only).
Each daily winner will be awarded three carefully-selected MTG booster packs from the current meta, as well as a custom 5 Days of Magic token card.

Here is the order of the daily drawings and themes:
  • Dec 10: White
  • Dec 11: Blue
  • Dec 12: Black
  • Dec 13: Red
  • Dec 14: Green


Eligibility - MTG Cardsmith's Lazy September Giveaway is open to individuals who are residents of the fifty (50) United States or Canada and are 13 years of age or older. Drawing: Each day MTG Cardsmith will select the email of potential winner in a random drawing of all newsletter subscription accounts. Limit 1 entry per person. No purchase necessary (of course).
