Oath of the Cardsmith - March Offerings

Greetings Cardsmiths!

We begin today with a hearty congratulations to Latinas for winning our February Crack-a-pack!
We are also happy to present the next installment of cracking Oath of the Gatewatch, with some excellent results.

As mentioned in the video, we are extremely close to hitting our next goal on Patreon. If you can support the site or simply want to win these epic cards in the March drawing, join our campaign today at Patreon.com/mtgcardsmith.

And thanks to our new patron signups for February:
Tangler
Gigu
Korpsman
Memnarchitect

Also noteworthy, in early March we opened the doors to the MTG Cardsmith Vault, our very own online store. In addition to offering our fantastic playmat, the store is a first glimpse of new styles that we are currently integrating to re-skin the full site.

If you'd like to know what else we are up to, we remind you to check out the Upcoming Features page and see the latest changes. Cheers!

Oath of the Gatewatch + Annual Survey Results

It's a new year, new set drop (Oath of the Gatewatch) and some new features coming down the MTG Cardsmith assembly line. First up: a quick snapshot of the Annual Survey results:
It was a tight race at the top, but overall the most requested feature is resizable text for the M15 card frame. Following closely are the ever out of reach Hybrid frames and Edit Card functionality. All of these features have wildly different development times associated with them, but the survey results give us a good tempo of where to focus long and short term development efforts in addition to our own goals.

As the survey was filling up we kept a close eye on the results, which is why we've gone ahead and released a new version with resizable text. Tonight we're giving Early Access to M15 Resizable text for our premium members. If you have a premium membership, you will see the new text selection buttons above the M15 frame ability box. We'll be opening the feature up to everyone after an initial week of use and extended testing.

Not sure how to get premium membership? Support us on Patreon for extra account features and events. Account pledges from the community help pay for server expenses and the development of new features (such as this!).

In case you missed it, we recently added new set icons for Oath of the Gatewatch for all members. (It looks like plenty of you found it quite quickly!) This also means our crack-a-pack this month has a new pack flavor to enjoy - coming soon!

2015 Annual Review and Survey

Looking back, 2015 was a pretty big year for the Cardsmith Community. Our primary focus was building out the tools necessary to make member profiles more valuable and useful in telling the stories and custom sets we've seen across the site. In the past year we've grown to over 20,000 members, who have helped create a mind-blowing 256,000 custom cards and 4,500 custom sets.

In our development we were able to deliver these major milestones for the community:
  • Launched Community Forums
  • New Profile Pages and Styles
  • Added Custom Sets
  • Added Follow Member & Activity Feeds
  • Server Upgrades and Premium Features

Of course, we couldn't talk about development without mentioning our awesome supporters on Patreon.com. Seriously, thank you all for the continued show of support through your donations. We hope you are enjoying the premium account features, and plan to continue showing our thanks for your help. If you would like to join them, visit Patreon.com/mtgcardsmith.

So here we are today, contemplating the year ahead. We want everyone's feedback, so please fill out our short Annual Survey, to give us some insight about what you want to see most. The survey will be up until January 29, giving everyone plenty of time to respond.

We look forward to the next year of MTG Cardsmith!
